Medical emergency camps to be set up at Qalandar Urs.

On the directives of Sindh Minister for Health and Population Welfare Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, the Director General Health Sindh Dr. Masood Ahmed Solangi has directed the District Health Officers of Hyderabad, Thatta, TM Khan, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushero Feroz, Larkana and others to make appropriate arrangements of ambulances on the eve of 766 annual urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (R.A) at Sehwan to avert any untoward situation.
He said that on the eve of the Qalandar Urs, millions of the devotees visited this shrine so we should be ready to do our job well. He asked them to declare emergency/ red alert in their respective jurisdiction from 23rd April to 27th April. Dr. Masood Solangi added, 'No medical staff should be given leave during this period, beside this sufficient stock of medicines, POL, blood and blood bags should also be kept'. He said that medical camps should also be established where they are needed most, ensuring availability of doctors, paramedical and ambulances there and also coordinate with NGOs for provision of medical services. He directed to make arrangements for anti mosquito spray at place of URS and arrange at least one ambulance along with doctor at the time of visits of VVIPs.
